Sony FX6 Cinema line Camera

The Sony FX6 is my go-to camera for every shoot, delivering top-tier cinematic quality in a compact, highly adaptable build. As a full-frame cinema line camera, it provides stunning image quality with exceptional low-light performance, thanks to its dual native ISO. The built-in variable ND filter allows for seamless exposure transitions, making it perfect for dynamic shooting environments, whether in bright daylight or low-light settings.

My custom build is designed for ultimate mobility, the FX6 is the best run-and-gun camera imaginable, featuring incredible in-camera stabilization and industry-leading autofocus for consistently sharp, steady shots. It records in S-Log3 for the highest dynamic range possible, but also supports S-Cinetone for those who prefer a ready-to-use cinematic look. With the ability to shoot 120fps in 4K and up to 240fps in Full HD, capturing stunning slow-motion footage has never been easier.

My custom quick-release shoulder mount build allows for a seamless transition between tripod and handheld shooting in an instant, ensuring no moment is missed. Paired with a V-mount battery system for all-day power, the FX6 is the perfect camera for any scenario. Ready to handle anything from high-end productions to fast-paced live events.

Sony A7III Full-frame mirrorless camera

The Sony A7III is a full-frame mirrorless camera I use as a reliable second camera alongside my FX6. It shoots full 4K video and supports log formats, which means I can match footage between the two cameras for a cohesive, polished final product. Its dual base ISO makes it great for low-light environments.

This camera is especially useful for two-camera interviews or when I need a lighter, more mobile setup without sacrificing image quality. It has strong autofocus, solid dynamic range, and built-in stabilization that makes handheld work smoother. Whether I’m using it for a second angle or as a standalone camera on a tighter shoot, the A7III adds flexibility and consistency to my workflow.

Outside of video work, the A7III is also a strong performer for photography. It captures detailed, color-accurate stills that are great for behind-the-scenes shots, social media content, promotional material, or full photo deliverables when needed. It’s a solid all-around camera that fills in wherever it’s needed on a shoot.

Insta 360 Go 3 Action Camera

The Insta360 GO 3 is a powerhouse in a tiny package, redefining what's possible in creative filmmaking. This miniature, magnetic action camera is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand—roughly the size of a stick of chapstick—yet delivers incredible 2.7K resolution video. Its compact size allows for unique, never-before-seen shots, perfect for capturing immersive perspectives in even the most challenging environments. With a magnetic backing, the GO 3 securely attaches to any steel surface, opening up endless mounting possibilities for dynamic and unconventional angles.

Despite its size, this camera packs serious performance. It features 120fps recording for smooth slow-motion shots, as well as a variety of built-in creative effects, including TimeShift for hyper-speed motion, slow-motion for cinematic impact, and Time-Lapse for stunning day-to-night sequences. The detachable Action Pod provides a live view and remote control functionality from up to 20 feet away, giving you complete control over your shots no matter where the camera is placed.

Designed for versatility, the GO 3 is waterproof, making it perfect for capturing underwater footage or shooting in unpredictable conditions. Its FlowState stabilization ensures silky-smooth footage, no matter the terrain or movement. Paired with K&D lens filters, this tiny camera delivers stunning video even in the brightest conditions. Whether used for action-packed shots, creative perspectives, or hard-to-reach angles, the Insta360 GO 3 is the ultimate tool for pushing the boundaries of visual storytelling.

Lenses

My main go-to lens is the Sony FE 24-105mm f/4, a versatile zoom lens that covers just about any shooting scenario. It’s perfect for everything from wide establishing shots to tight close-ups, all without needing to stop and swap lenses, making it especially useful for fast-paced shoots and run-and-gun setups. Whether I’m working handheld, on a tripod, or shoulder-mounted, this lens delivers sharp, reliable results across the board.

Alongside the 24-105mm, I also carry a small collection of prime lenses that give me more flexibility when I want to push for a more cinematic look. This includes a 75mm f/1.8 Rokinon, a 50mm f/1.8 Sony, and a 20mm f/2.8 Viltrox. These primes give me access to a wider range of apertures, allowing for shallow depth of field and more control over light and focus—great for portrait-style shots or when I want to isolate a subject visually.

Between the zoom and prime setups, I’m able to adapt to just about any lighting or framing situation while maintaining a consistent, professional image quality throughout the entire shoot.
